Altering Clothing

Last month while I was shopping with my Mom and little brother, I found this great little vest. The only problem was that it was a size large. After folding it up in the dressing room I figured I was crafty enough to cut out a pannel to make it fit me better. So I bought it and Jared helped me figure out which seams to rip and where to cut. Seeing as I don't have my own sewing machine, and Jared and I didn't have much time to neatly hand sew it, I took it to my Mom who does have a sewing machine. She took it up to her awesome little sewing nook in the spare bedroom and finished it up within 5 minutes!

How awesome is this?! She got inspired by something she saw in a a magazine and decided to make her own!

 Its so versatile! I can wear it with basically anything, just to add a layer and make an outfit more interesting. I love it!

The dress is very comfy and light, perfect for summer, maybe more for a night though since it's darkly colored. I loved how easy it was to exchange the dress, mod cloth is an awesome company. Not to mention they sent me a gift certificate just for reviewing the first dress I got! Can't wait to buy more from them! I wish I could wear this all day, but sadly I have to get ready for work.

I took Bufford to Carillon Park on afternoon off, in one of my new mod cloth dresses! WOW, do I love this dress. Brown is my color, and the floral print just makes it that much better. Not to mention it's so light and comfortable. It's PERFECT, ahhh my favorite. I'm so happy I got it. I got the email it was in stock while Jared was driving us to his family, and I was so worried it would sell out that I ordered it on my phone's slow internet! haha.

I wish I had gotten better shots but I forgot my tripod. Not to mention I was trying to let Bufford free roam and explore since we were the only ones around, and I kept worrying he would get too far. Distracting puppy!

Wednesday Wishlist

Switch it Up Dress by Modcloth

This dress is perfect! I love the colors(I feel I look best in brown, and the touch of color is perfect for spring), not to mention its adorably casual, which I am all about with dresses.

An Iphone

I know I'm probably just wanting to jump on the bandwagon, but they look so user friendly, fast and sleek. The camera is the main thing that is pulling me in. 8mp of power in my pocket, not to mention I know there are cute little lenses you can clip on. yeee!

Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera

Hmm! I'm not sure how I feel about this one, but I'm pretty sure I want it. I just think its part of the beauty of a polaroid, not knowing what it looks like until 30 seconds or so after you click the shutter. Then again, I have wasted a few shots, and this handy gadget would prevent that!

Yee these Docs are so cute, again, another perfect spring item. Actually, I could pull these off year-round!

A Boston Terrier!

Yeah yeah, I know, Cady you don't need another dog... but I bet Boof would LOVE a playmate, not to mention I read the it eases separation anxiety to have another do around(which Boof is an anxiety fiend like his mother). And I could carrier her with me everywhere and ~siiiigh~. Someday soon I hope!

HOLGA HL-N Lens w/ FISHEYE for NIKON

UGH! This is the besttttt. It's a holga lens....FOR YOU DSLR!! Amazing right?! The guy at the camera store told me about this one and showed me how it works! So awesome, because I have terrible luck sometimes with my film, and it can get expensive to develop... so problem solved! Awesome looking pictures for free...and well the price of the lens. Not to mention this is bundled with a fisheye lens attachment!
