Biscuits and Gravy

Thanks to another pinterest recipe I was able to make a delicious breakfast for my little brother Duke, and I :) Simple biscuits and gravy, but oh such happy tummy food! When I did the final step to add the milk it seemed like I had made a mistake, it looked like meat cereal! I was worried I read the recipe wrong and Duke was like "add more flour" but I double checked and kept stirring, and then after a few moments it fluffed up into perfect gravy! So delicious.

X-Files Revival

As you already know, I am a HUGE X-Files fan. So of course you could deduce that I was extremely excited about the 6-episode revival. Well so was my family. In fact my amazing Mom decorated!! It was such a nice surprise, and they ordered pizza too. Plus the episode was awesome, and so was the following one! I’m counting down the days until the next one. Its so funny, I can remember being 8 or 9 and my parents being like “this show is too scary, you can’t watch it” and I’d hear the theme song to the X-Files come on and I’d be like 'Yup!’ and I’d go to my room and play with my beanie babies. Now we can finally watch it together, haha!
Cutest Mom ever!

Alien autopsy lol!!

Delicious brownies!

Thrift Haul

Some awesome frames that almost made me wish I had bad eyesight.

I went thrifting with my Mom on my day off last week, and we got pretty good haul! We went to St. Francis, and Mom had printed off some $10 off coupons, so we spent a few hours in there digging for treasure haha.
The Cesar Milan book and a bone shaped cookie cutter to make Steve dog treats! Lol, he's a hand model btw.

Beauty bundle.

Film that expired in 1998! Mom found that, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Since he was so keen on seeing what I was doing I made him model my bandana.

Look at da teefs!!!

AWW YEAH! It's gonna be a a kick-ass summer ya'll!

This could kick-start my career/dream of opening my own ice cream shop.

I also got an adorable vintage dress with strawberries on it that I can’t wait to wear this summer!! It’s so cute and flowy, and I intend to wear it whilst I pick strawberries :)

Lynne came up from Tennessee to do some shopping with me!

Oh Christmas Steve, Oh Christmas Steve!!!

The antlers pull his face skin back a bit, haha!

Charmin anxiously awaiting present opening.

I got a TV!!

Blurry but cute Charmin and I.

I am forever convincing him he's a lap dog.

Mom being cute, and Dad opening a photo frame I got him.
I’m thankful my wonderful supportive family and friends who were there to make it an awesome holiday season. I’m just going to dump all my photos of the time period off here now and caption them. I hope you all had lovely holidays too :)

366 Project - Week 1

I started a 365 project on a whim with the start of the new year, which I think will actually be a 366 because it’s a leap year right? Nothing fancy, just a push to make sure I use my camera’s more often and try to stay creative and look at life from all angles to find beauty everywhere. This is what I captured on the first week of 2016!
1/366 - Dinner at Taqueria Mixteca with Sophie!

2/366 - Night out at the movies with friends.

3/366 - Reading this magazine Sophie got me after work.

4/366 - Dinner with sweet Barry after work.

5/366 - Family dinner for Dad's Birthday
6/366 - I got a hyacinth bulb from kroger in a jar of water for $2.50 and it's already bloomed. It makes my room smell heavenly, and it feels like Spring is just around the corner.

7/366 - My new Rifle Paper co Agenda arrived!

Dad's Birthday Sushi Adventure

For my Dad’s birthday this year we got the idea to take him to a sushi restaurant because he’d never had it. I loved the idea because a.) sushi is one of my favorite things to eat and b.) shopping for Dad can be hard sometimes haha. Plus seeing him try sushi would be a fun experience as well! For a moment I thought the plans were falling through because things kept coming up, and I thought we were going to have to do the dinner a different day and just hang out at their house for the evening. On my way over to their house though they called and said the plans were back on so I turned around and we all met up at Chloe’s Asian Gourmet.
I was a little nervous because Dad had no idea what he wanted or what would sound good, so I decided on a sort of sampler platter that had a little of everything along with a coconut shrimp roll because its my favorite and I’d been craving it. Mom and Duke ordered a cooked dish called the “happy family” to share which sounded so appropriate. Everything was so delicious!! Dad was very brave although hesitant at first, and tried everything, even the eel. I think everyone liked the coconut shrimp the best, especially Duke who loves fried things haha. It had tempura so of course it was right up his alley.
My family is so silly and fun, Duke got the giggles reliving an experience he had with a friend at school which made us all crack up as well, and we were all laughing until our sides hurt. I had such an awesome time, and I think everyone did, so I’m glad our plans ended up working out! Happy Birthday, Dad!!
