Ikea Haul

Joe and I went to Ikea and I wanted to get a whisk and can opener. Ended up getting neither of those haha, but I stayed pretty practical I guess. Their duvet cover set prices are insanely reasonable!! I got this plain one for $20, the thread count is only 144, but I love how it looks and for that price it can’t be beat! There was another adorable dandelion set I was wanting to get, but I didn’t want to blow all my money, so I might come back for it, so I can alternate between washes. Now I don’t have to worry about dry-cleaning my new comforter, yay! I also got a new cutting board, which I already used to prepare some delicious soup. I got this cute little fake sheep fur rug as well, which was also pretty cheap. Finally I got a full length mirror, so I can finally see my whole outfit to make sure I’m all put-together before I walk out the door. I forgot how much I love Ikea, I’m suddenly a lot more into interior decorating, and I can’t wait to make another trip!!

Mini Thrift Haul

Latte Art

 Since I loved the brewer’s cup so much, I’ve been thinking about latte art competitions. I don’t know when the next one will be, but I definitely want to enter. I’ve been practicing perfecting and pouring my milk, every day, every drink, and I love it. It’s so fun to make art for people to drink! Here’s some recent drinks I was really proud of.

Neko Atsume

So I’d seen a lot of screen shots of this game from other people on instagram, and the more I saw the more intrigued I was. What are these cute little kitties, I wondered. So I followed the hashtag to find the game is called Neko Atsume(Cat Collection- lol), and promptly downloaded it. Still not entirely sure what I’m doing or which cats are “rare”, but the music is soothing and its just so cute. I bought a donut tube and a mochi bean bag for my yard which the kitties like. It doesn’t seem that they’ve touched their sashimi yet. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes cute free games. You can spend money on it if you want, but I’ve figured out the more cats that come the better because they leave you money to buy more stuff so that’d awesome. Here are my screen grabs so far.

Carriage Hill Farm

Since the weather was so nice on Groundhog's day, Joe and I decided to go on a hike and of course brought Steve! We hiked some slightly muddy trails around the lake and then decided to go and check out the farm. After making kissy noises at the sheep for a few minutes, a goat led them all over to us. They were all so cute, the goat loved being scratched behind the antlers and one of the sheep figured out how to scratch his bum on the fence which was hilarious. There were also some friendly chickens in a coop, some turkeys, and horses that were too busy eating hay to hang out with us. It was a pretty great trip!
