What I wore - Moody Mauve

Sweater - Thrifted
Hat - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - Altar'd State
Socks - Forever 21
Boots - Modcloth
Lipstick - NYX

A cold snap came mid March, and I just so happened to thrift a new sweater so I was alright with it. Whipped this outfit together around it, and trying to heal my chapped lips I coated them with matching lipstick so I couldn't pick at them. Wah-lah! Comfy and cute!

What I Wore - Cactus Pants!!

 Shirt - Gap
Hoodie - Urban Outfitters(very old)
Jacket - Thrifted(Gap)
Joggers - Forever 21
Sandals - Target

I gotta let you guys know, the men's section of Forever 21 is KILLING IT!! I'm obsessed, they keep putting out the best colors and patterns...I'm not interested in the ladies stuff lately. I came across these pants, and didn't buy them right away and regretted it. I thought about them all night and went back the next day and I'm so glad I did. My Mom calls them my "pjs for everydays" haha, and they really are. This is my first pair of joggers and they are the comfiest most awesome pants. I love them.

What I Wore - Coffee Queen

Long time no see! Sorry for the near 6 month hiatus. Winter is always awful, but my last two have been so heinous I basically want to curl up in bed and wait it out. My job got so stressful, that it wasn't fun anymore, and my hard work was going unrecognized. Pair that was a terrible "boss" who spread negativity like a contagious disease, and yeah, I was in a dark place.
But like that favorite saying of mine that goes something along the lines of life is like an arrow, sometimes you get pulled back to get launched into the next great adventure. Off like an arrow I went! With the helpful pushes of my loved ones(huge shout out for Julia for the biggest shove to flip urban the bird and find a new job) I began to seek out new employment. I found a wine importer and distributor! They really liked me, but found a girl with more wine knowledge and hired her. Back into despair I fell as I received another no from another job.
Two months later, in a bout of food poisoning that left me feeling like I was close to death, I got an email from that wine place, saying another position had opened up and they wanted me! Glory Glory hallelujah!! I took the leap and I'm back to my old happy self again(I work with awesome people who let me be myself, I learned new stuff and gained my confidence back, and I made new friends!).
Oh, and I decided to dye my hair for the first time in 5 years or so. I'm on my way to lavender, going slow so as to not murder my follicles.
So even though I work a lot more now, I've been inspired to get back into blogging. So hopefully I can keep up momentum to keep this more updated. After I post this I'm going to update the about page as well, and hopefully a new welcome photo, because my hair has grown out a lot, and it's a year old... So on to this photo post!

Shirt - Forever 21
Jacket - Nasty Gal
Hat - Urban Outfitters
Shorts - Urban Outfitters
Boots - Modcloth

I'm not one to wear a shirt with some sort of phrase or graphic on it typically... but this one spoke to me. Obviously because I'm obsessed with coffee!
It's really hard to take outfit photos when simultaneously trying to babysit Steve. With Bufford he just slowly ambles around in the background, but Steve is looking to make a break for it and go off on a wild adventure 24/7. He's a handful. I'll make a post about him later, because I've been meaning to for eons. Anyway, I still managed to find some good locations for shoots, and was able to keep him pinned in this little cemetery I found. It got really hot today, it felt great! Summer is so close.
Okay, well, thanks for reading :)

I'm a Quarter of a Century!

It's my 25th birthday today!! I can't believe I'm this old. I had such a great day, and its kind of turned into a birthday week really. This past weekend Sophie and Lynne came down to visit and we went out to eat, then next weekend I'm hanging out with Jared and my parents. Today I came into work and turned on the light and the whole office was decorated with balloons and streamers! My boss Danielle is really the best, she even made me a cake and brought me a tiara. I really feel loved all around. Jared got me animal crossing and a nintendo 3ds xl for my birthday and gave it to me early and I played it on my break and even the little characters celebrated my birthday. I have a hundred million posts on facebook to get to so I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet and kinda jumbled and all over the place because yay birthday! and yay Sophie just showed up!
Real quick- funny story about these awesome balloons, a customer returned them a few weeks ago and I got them for $1 each on sale. I took them to Kroger last night got them filled up and carried the huge obnoxious things around the store with me as we shopped. Got them all the way home and then the 5 got stuck on the trim overhang roof of the house, popped off the string, and floated away into the night. I was devastated!! Haha. Then I ran to party city after work today and found they had the same kind so I bought one, and all was well again, and Jared helped me take some outfit photos.
Long time no see blog! :)

What I Wore - Oldies but Goodies

Everything featured is more than 3 years old or so except the necklace and shoes so I won't bother posting the usual outfit rundown. The necklace is from Altar'd State and the shoes were a gift from Mom(K-mart I think). The shorts are vintage Guess jeans I thrifted and cut into shorts! I'm pretty pleased with the turn out, I even made the little holes myself. The top and sheer cardigan are from Forever 21 back when I lived in Alaska. It was about 90 something degrees when I tried to take these photos, so bare with the crazy fluffy hairdo :) While I was taking the photos the mama deer made an appearance. We've spotted her a few times down by the creek. This time she was solo eating some plants, but the last time she had three fawns following her arcoss the road! Three!! They were so cute. Hope you're enjoying the muggy hot sunshine as well.
