Colourpop Ulta Matte Lippies

I am SO excited about these new lipsticks! Ever since Madi and Lauren came to visit in October and let me try on theirs, I've been dying to get my own but just kept putting it off. Well, you may or may not know that I battle dermatillomania- a compulsive skin picking disorder. It stems from anxiety. I pick mainly at my lips and cuticles. It can get pretty bad sometimes and the scarring on my lips can be embarrassing. It got pretty bad recently- It's not always stress/anxiety induced, don't worry I'm doing pretty well in that department lately. Sometimes it's boredom/lack of things to do with my hands and they just fidget into picking.- and I figured putting on some lipstick would give my lips time to heal and discourage me from picking(don't wanna smudge that color!). The color choices of lipstick I had are all pretty old and or extremely wild in color... I wanted something a little more subtle yet still interesting. I knew Colourpop would be there to save the day. I got on and ordered three matte lippies, and thanks to their coupon for signing up to their newsletter I got $5 off! The email I got said it could take 3-5 days to process, and and extra 2-3 because they've been extra busy lately. I was a little disheartned to have to wait but to my surprise I ordered them on Tuesday and they arrived Saturday! Super fast!! I eagerly watched the tracking on my phone at work while it said they were out for delivery and hurried home to get them when my shift ended. Oh they're glorious!! I just adore them. I struggled to restrain myself from ripping open the packaging so I could take a photo of the cute sticker on the outside. I immediately tried on all three(much to my lip's dismay of rubbing colors off) and oh they're so great!!

My three colors of choice. Here's them on:

Trap

Kind of a gray beige. Into it.

Clueless

 Gorgeous, dusty rose color.

Beeper

Feeling silly taking this many pics of myself and my lips at this point.

 A darker, dramatic rosey beige.

Like I said, they're pretty darn awesome. They stay on really tough, I have to get creative to get it off because I don't have makeup remover. I used an oil based lotion haha. I didn't take my time here as you can see, but you can get away with not wearing a liner if you get precise with your brush. They're gorgeous pigments. You can wear chapstick underneath if you prefer, which might make it wear off easily when you eat, but makes it easier to take off at the end of the day.
If you have any questions about them I'd be happy to answer fellow curious makeup lovers! As you can tell I'm pretty stoked on them :)

Steve is too.

Sugar and Spice

Barbie breakfast dreamhouse?! Yes please!!
I had to make a post about this restaurant, I'm in LOVE! Jared and I often get stuck in routine and go to the same place over and over, which is fine(especially when the people at the Shaan know us by name and our orders by heart and are always happy to see us- love them!), but it's great to shake things up and try something new too! So that we did, and I am so happy we found Sugar and Spice!(it's probably going to become the new routine, haha).

We looked up breakfast spots on our phones and this came up for both of us with good reviews and it peeked our interest so off we went with our gps set. The wait was a half an hour, but upon arrival and seeing the place, we were even more intrigued and decided to wait it out.

We walked around the building and checked everything out, like the little pig statue out front, and the little shed and ticket booth looking thing out back. While we were waiting a lady pulled up on the most beautiful scooter,  I was smitten. I've been watching an anime called Rolling girls lately and it's made me want to get one... but they're out of my price range at the moment. Anyway!

We finally got inside and got seated at the bar. While we waited we picked out rubber duckies on the wall that we liked(there were zillions.), then we noticed they were giving them out to guests. I spied a unicorn one and skeleton one and told Jared excitedly that I hoped I could get one of those.
After we ordered, one of the waiters came around four different times with plates of samples. He brought me an ice cream in a little cup(probably because I had on an ice cream tank top and ice cream earrings in), and came around with a plate of fried mac and cheese(I was like How?!), a plate of brownies, and I feel like there was one more I can't remember but maybe not... anyways I probably spoiled my appetite but it was all delicious and worth it. Then he came around and let up pick out ducks.

I picked this fabulous mermaid(which was a close tie with a dia de los muertos duck, but I was feeling more mermaidy then muerte), and Jared picked the flash. Then our meals came! I got the special which was peach toast and boy was it delicious! Jared got a burrito and biscuits and gravy(the waitress remarked on that "Boy, you aren't messin' around!" haha). The wait staff were all extremely nice and very funny, having all kinds of banter all over the place(there was some awkwardness of a waitress encouraging a busser to hit on a  customer which I thought was distasteful, but that was probably the only problem I had with anything there at all...). We loved it! Oh and right before we were getting ready to leave, our waitress came over and gave me a unicorn duck!! She said "I want you to have this one, now don't lose it, these are rare" I was overjoyed haha. Again it was probably because I was dressed all kitchy and cute, but it worked for me. Next time I'm going in goth to get that skeleton duck, haha.

What I Wore: Airplanes and Blue Skies

Dress - C/o Modcloth
Jacket - Forever 21
Shoes - Golden Ponies

I don't think I ever did an actual outfit post with this dress! No idea why, but here we go now. I love this dress, its so cute and classy. I'm definitely gonna wear it the next time I'm in an airport. Its casual, yet it can be dressed up real easily.
Don't get my started on that jacket or the shoes either! Oh man. I'd been eyeing that jacket for a while, but I kept talking myself out of it. Finally on a trip there with my friends Corinne and Chyanne, they talked me into it. How could I not, really.
The shoes came from a googling session after my tumblr friend Leah posted a pair of cute holographic flats she got from forever 21. I stumbled upon Golden ponies on etsy, then found their website. A day or two later, Kaylah of the Dainty Squid posted about buying a pair herself and I was sold. They're so rad! They hand make them and ship them out from Mexico. Well worth the wait. They're not ~perfect~ with minor imperfections with sizing. One is a little wider around the opening than the other, but if I just lace it tighter you can't tell. I would recommend sizing down a half size because they're a little big. Other than that I'm really happy with them! I've gotten lots of compliments already.

What I Wore - Cotton Candy Creeper

Sweater - c/o Modcloth
Jeans - Urban Outfitters
Creepers(shoes) - c/o Modcloth

Oh. My. GOSH, I am obsessed with these shoes. They're called creepers. I'd been debating on which style to get and what size because the reviews are all over the place on different websites. I finally decided the pink ones on modcloth were the way to go, and boy was that a great decision! I adore them. They fit true to size for me, and they're way more comfortable than I was expecting. Awesome shoes!
That sweater and jeans are also an obsession. I'm just in love with this outfit. The sweater makes me feel like I look like Winona Ryder in Girl Interrupted, except more pink. The buttons down the back are the cutest! The jeans are high-waisted and they fit great. I LOVE finding jeans that are long enough for my giraffe legs, especially when they're on sale!

Hope you're having a great day!

What I Wore - Purple and Gold

THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE FUNNIEST PICTURE OMG.
LOOK AT BUFFORD. SERIOUSLY. LOOK. WHAT IS HIS FACE OMG.
I'm dead.

Scarf - Urban Outfitters
Cardigan - Urban Outfitters
Dress - Macy's
Jeans - Hollister
Shoes - Tom's

These are my school colors! Not intentional at all. I am in love with the scarf and cardigan, they're just so classy. The dress is awesome too because it has a built in bra which is so convenient, haha! I really love taking Bufford to the cemetery. He has so much fun running around. We even saw a groundhog on this trip!
