What I Wore - Halloween Edition

Growing up, my favorite author was Rold Dahl. I ate up everything he'd written with a big spoon. As you may or may not know, a lot of his works got translated into films, which I also loved(though as a bookworm, I couldn't help but be miffed by inaccuracies). My all time favorite being James and the Giant Peach! It combined an excellent book with stop-motion, an art form I've long admired(re: obsession with the Nightmare before Christmas). I got the idea to be Ms Spider for Halloween a year or two ago, but couldn't execute it due to financial woes and my car breaking down. This year I was determined to make it happen, especially after I found the perfect beret at the thrift store without even looking for it specifically. I even got Jared to be Mr. Centipede with me!

And then here are some random not so high quality but still quality pics from the evening.

My hooded eyelids make it hard to see the purple eyeshadow but it's there! Ahh I love this look, I wish I could wear this daily haha.

Give me S'more!

One of Jared's bosses gave us a fire pit last year and we've been making good use of it! A tempting s'mores display at Target worked like a charm on me and I bought some planning to go camping with Jared for our anniversary. Well, it ended up being cold and kinda rainy so we decided not to go, but we did make the s'mores in the back yard. Aw yisss.

Krohn Butterfly Show

I'd been wanting to go see the butterflies for a while but plans kept falling through. Jared and I finally got the chance, and I already want to go again. It was really crowded and really hot, but the butterflies were so pretty. I went in feeling terrified(I don't like anything with more then 4 legs touching me), I had this vision of being swarmed by butterflies. Ever since my friend Cat told me butterflies suck the fluids out of dead bodies, they've struck fear into my heart. These butterflies wanted nothing to do with me though, and the more the gave me the cold shoulder, the more I wanted to take a selfie with them. Sadly, they were all too busy flitting around to take one with me, so I settled on some with Jared :)
The desert room.

Check out those eyes! This friend landed on Jared's leg.

A pal on my back, the closest I got to a butterfly selfie.

Haha, I had to share Jared's face when it flew away XD

Cutting through the Jungle

Each year we've been together, Jared and I have graduated out living style. We started out staying with our families, then in an apartment together. After that a duplex, and this year we found a house to rent! With all this extra space and privacy comes a little more responsibility...which includes mowing the yard. I don't know why, but I've always loved cutting the grass. My parents were always afraid to let me do it(lets face it, the lawn mower probably weighed more than I did as a young girl), which kinda just made me want to do it even more. Its just so satisfying for some reason, its getting something done around the house but not getting dirty. I dunno. But anyhow, I just wanted to show you the before and after pictures of how it got out of control before Jared bought the mower.
Before - Bufford refused to venture out there.

In Process - We had to hack it down with the weedwacker because the mower kept stalling.

After!

Handsome mowing man!

Through Diana's Mini Eye

I got some more film developed last week! It spans out from our trip to Yellowstone last year into this spring. Hehe, I space my film out quite a bit.
Some handsome fella hanging out by some hot holes. Love those light leaks!

A hot hole!
Double exposure, Lauren and Madi in Chi-ca-go!

Hiking with Jared and Bufford

Blooming Weeping Willows are GORGEOUS!

Pretty moss!

Cuties.

Majestic men.

No crawdads yet, Boofy!
Jared and I had the morning off together, and after a delicious breakfast of rice pudding and bananas(no belly ache hooray!), we set off for a hike. Not before Jared attempted to Boof-proof the car with a blanket haha. It was really nice out, perfect hiking weather, and the place Jared picked was lovely. I can't wait to find more places to hike around here!
