Film

One of my Spring Goals was to shoot two rolls of film. Well that was easy! I had two others sitting around my house, so I got four rolls developed and ouch my wallet. Now I remember why I let this hobby go. Nonetheless it was totally worth it because I got some really great shots! Here are some of my favorite from my day with Barry. Shot with my minolta on expired film.

Yoga with Cats!

So as you know I've recently taken up yoga, and in the process met some fellow yoga lovers. One of which being a regular friend at the coffee shop named Matt, who teaches it at the Dayton Yoga Club. He clued me in that he was doing an event with SICSA(Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals), which featured doing yoga with Cats. Well we all know I'm more of a dog person, but when I was little I was obsessed with cats. When people asked me what what I wanted to be when I grew up I would answer "a cat"(not a bad answer huh? Cats have it made). So I was like 'count me in!!' I invited some friends and Tia ended up being the only able to make it. She picked me up and we had such a great time! SICSA provided towels to those who didn't have a mat and catnip and treats for us to entice kitties with. Matt's class was perfect and calm for the cats and the dreary early Saturday morning. The cats were super cute and entertaining, Tia and I giggled just about the entire time. Two fights broke out so a few cats had to be rotated out, and in the end there were two kittens!! We even got a tour of the facility at the end! It was a super cute way to start the weekend :)

Hiking Bill Yeck Park

I asked one of our regulars at the shop where he likes to hike and he recommended Bill Yeck park, which I'd never heard of. Always down to explore new places in nature, I had the good fortune of having a sunny warm Friday off of work. I loaded up Steve and we set off for adventure. It was a pretty darn lovely place to hike for sure, I was kind of concerned about getting lost a lot of the time though. Also there was a part called wild flower hillside, and there were no wild flowers on any hillside, so that was a mild let down, haha. Nonetheless I had fun watching Steve sniff around like a wild man, and bravely jump into the stream for some light swimming. Between that and yoga, I could barely move that evening, and spent it cleaning up my laptop(spring cleaning, lol!). I sure do love my little exploring partner :)
I must have crossed at least 5 of these in different places which got confusing and made me wonder if I was going in circles.

Deer tracks!!

Apparently, Steve is part meerkat.

Most interesting tree EVER

The Beauty in a Regular Daily Walk

Some days you're too caught up in your thoughts and the hustle and bustle of getting from point A to point B. Other days, you stop and see all the little things and your walk becomes a beautiful work of art.

Pretty trees outside of "The Church"

A beautiful butterfly posing for me on some bright flowers.

A cute acorn sticker nestled onto the side of a car.

Flowers draped elegantly onto Steve'e head.

My beautiful majestic baby who gets me out and about every day :)

A Day with Barry

By some miracle, Barry and I both got a Friday off together. Of course we pounced on that knowledge and made plans to go to garden centers. I was on the hunt for a weeping cherry tree for my Mom(which turned out to be way past my budget, so I got her a ton of succulents instead), and Barry just loaded up on lovely succulents to decorate her apartment. We had such a good time exploring and picking out plants! I hope this miracle of girl's days end up happening more often!

McDonald's bathroom selfies!

She loves this little cactus, hehe!

My favorite place to be!

Such a tall guy!!

I love him.

Oh and it just happened to be Earth Day when we went! Fancy that.
