Tales of Lush - A Treat Yo-self Story

Intergalactic bath bomb
A funeral brought me to Cincinnati last month(let me preface that with "Hi! I've never been to a funeral before!"), and afterwards I found myself searching for something to comfort myself with. The Kenwood mall didn't quite do it, but buying some bath products from Lush gave me something to look forward to. Skipping the nitty gritty and getting straight to the point- the Intergalactic bath bomb was the bomb.com! That thing went right to work fizzing away and turned the tub into a sparkly galaxy. And holey moley did I smell amazing when I got out. It was quite the soothing experience I needed.

The cliche white girl with leg tattoo in the tub photo! Yay! Yes it's necissary!!
I also got Unicorn Horn which is a bubble bar. I've bought one before so you know it's tried and true beauty. It's a pink dream and it also left me smelling devine, but not as intensely as the bomb. Granted I also like the break my bubble bars into 2-3 chunks so I can get multiple uses.
In other words, if you're in need of some self-pampering, pick up some products and have a good soak. I also want to recommend Foxie Bombs if you would rather support a small business, which is the brainchild of Kayla, of Tennesse! (I just need instant gratification sometimes when I'm near the mall haha). Happy soaking!!

What I Wore - Vintage Wrap Skirt

"Mom, no."

Wasn't down to pose with me today lol.

Two bunnies hanging out :)

Shirt - Gap
Skirt - Thrifted
Shoes - Plato's Closet
Jacket - Thrifted
Ears - Petco and Thrifted

I was thrifting with my Mom a few weeks ago and came across this vintage wrap skirt and was obsessed! It's so beautiful. There was a stain on it but my talented Mom was able to remove it and now it's one of my favorite pieces in my closet!! I have a feeling I'm gonna wear it a lot this Spring. Also the cemetery is looking AMAZING right now, especially on gloomy days, the bright pink flowers against cloudy skies is a gorgeous contrast. I'm obsessed. Hope you all are enjoying the springy weather too!
Blooper bonus - Nearly falling as I roll my ankle trying to walk on the lumpy ground in wedges.

Steve The Bunny - Easter Bonus!

Last Easter I was kind of obsessed with finding bunny ears for the dogs, but couldn't justify spending more than a few dollars on them. I ended up buying some after Easter, and finding a few more pairs at the thrift store a few months ago so I've been waiting for this moment for a while. Enjoy the cutest bunny dog in the entire world sitting in front of some lovely flowers around Woodland Cemetery :)

Blissful Bunny :)

Easter Nails!

Painted my nails while catching up on Teen Mom OG yesterday! I love Easter, it's spring, I like to wear dresses, candy... idk, I'm not celebrating religiously, I just like this time of year. Anyway, enjoy my nails here.

Crostini!

Came across this tasty treat on pinterest of course and had to give it a whirl. I feel like I baked my break a little too long, still getting the hang of my vintage oven's intensity, but otherwise this was DELICIOUS! I also found goat cheese with honey in it already so it was pretty effortless to make. Give it a whirl and make yourself some crostinis!

New Hair!

As you can see from the amount of root growth, I was over the blonde. It was fun while it lasted, but I was tired of frying it and wanted my normal color back... to a certain extent. I asked Anne for a recommendation for someone who could do what I had in mind. She said "Nicole!" from Salon Lofts, and then showed me her instagram to which I replied "Omg! I used to make her sushi!". Booking her three weeks in advance(because that was the soonest I could get in), the day finally came and I was so excited. Nicole was so nice and I had such a great time talking to her as she made my hair a masterpiece. I'm feeling super cute with my new do, check it out!

From that to this!
Progress shot hehe.

TAH-DAH! Magical.

Ah it feels good.

What I wore - Moody Mauve

Sweater - Thrifted
Hat - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - Altar'd State
Socks - Forever 21
Boots - Modcloth
Lipstick - NYX

A cold snap came mid March, and I just so happened to thrift a new sweater so I was alright with it. Whipped this outfit together around it, and trying to heal my chapped lips I coated them with matching lipstick so I couldn't pick at them. Wah-lah! Comfy and cute!

How I got a new phone - The trauma behind the rosegold

It's been a while since I've written/updated! I've not had internet for FIVE MONTHS can you believe that?! It's been a struggle, updating from work or my parent's, but as of yesterday I am now online again. So you wouldn't know unless you've talked to me in real life that I fell off my bike a couple of weeks ago! More Steve was pulling me like a small freight train and I wasn't paying close enough attention and hit a small piece of tree shrapnel that sent me off kilter and suddenly I was airborn, then slamming onto my hipbone with the thought of "oh that's it, I've broken my hip! I definitely broke my hip! It's broken". Spoiler- didn't break my hip, but I did have some nasty scrapes to clean up, and a shattered iphone 4s. As I pulled to the side of the road(not even a block from my damn house), Steve fretted over me hurting more than helping as he tried to lick me and then sit on my lap. The mailman who happened to bare witness to the no doubt stupid looking chain of events worriedly asked me about 4 or 5 times if I was alright as I tried to get the wind back in my lungs and assess if I really was okay. I was just a little upset and in a lot of pain. A crunch from the sight of the fall caught my attention and I realized a car driving by had run over my sunglasses which had evidently fallen off my head. Perfect.
Being the badass I am, I picked myself up and walked Steve, my bike and I home and bandaged my wounds. The hip gash being so large my Lisa Frank bandages were useless, so I taped a panty liner over it. I was a hot mess. But guess what, I got back on that bike and we rode for about an hour afterwards!
Well this story leads me to the point of this post, which is to show off my new phone!! Which was long overdue, and in desperate need after my old phone bit the pavement. Unfortunately I didn't have a case on the old one so the screen cracked, but still worked long enough to finish off the pay period. I'd been lusting after the rosegold 6s since I saw it's introduction when I worked at the wine company and had nothing better to do than surf the web for hours at a time. With this years tax return glory, I was able to finally call it mine! And check out that adorable phone case I picked up from Tilly's. Probably should get something more tough, but I'm extra careful with it now because I love it so much. Okay, here's a few more gratuitous photos of my new gadget.
