Bufford vs Watermelon

Jared and Bufford were supposed to share this watermelon... but Boof is a selfish only child. It started when we were putting away the groceries, and Bufford came sniffing over. I egged him on asking "ooh what is it?!" and started to roll it across the floor. Of course a wild chase ensued across the living room, and before you knew it we were outside watching him devour the whole thing. Needless to say giving him the whole thing was probably a bad idea... but he was pretty happy about it. #spoiled

what a dork.

When Deloreans took over Dayton

It's probably your understanding by now that I'm obsessed with Daloreans. That obsession stems from my love of the movie Back to the Future of course. Well after I saw that random one over by the Kenwood mall, I was tipped off to the car show coming to Dayton. I made sure to take the day off and drove down to visit Sophie. She called to see where I was when I was just getting into town when one drove past me and I started squealing excitedly. We drove over and got to walk around and check them all out. There were so many it was mind boggling. So many colors and modifications I had no idea existed. Sadly I couldn't afford to go into the museum they'd set up or meet Christopher Lloyd(I'm crying tears forever about that!!), but at least I got to see the cars!
TAKE ME WITH YOU!!

Plotting how to steal this and go back in time...

So cool!!

Check the plates.

...really?

........no but really?

[screams internally]

What I Wore - The Truth is Out There

Shirt - Monsters Outside
Shorts - Thrifted
Shoes - K-mart?(gift from Mom)

Welp, I messed up and didn't wear my UFO socks with this outfit haha. But I just love this outfit so much. I'm sure some people wouldn't put it in a fashion category or consider it worthy of an outfit post, but this is one of my favorite things to wear because it makes me so happy! I love the X Files and I love how simple and comfortable this look is. I think the green walls of the spare bedroom gave this look a nice touch, haha.

Meet Scarlett!

This winter was pretty much a thing of nightmares. It seemed like anything that could go wrong did. One of those things was my car breaking down twice, getting a flat tire, then dying for good all-together. Don't even get me started on that awful car we got off Craig's list... since then its been me struggling to save every bit I could(when I say struggling I mean I am temtped to buy things almost daily. I am a material girl living in a material world). I was scared to get something from Craig's List again and saving was taking so long and I needed wheels!
Well one day I was watching a bunch of music videos on youtube(thank you Fall Out Boy and Katy Perry), and I kept seeing this ad on the bottom for King's Mazda. I remembered Jared almost got a car there, and got curious to see if they had any used cars listed. After speaking with my Dad about what I should be looking for a few times I narrowed my search on their website and found the perfect Toyota. I rushed over the next day after work- but it had sold.
I was feeling a little discouraged because I was sure that car was the one, but one of my coworkers reassured me that it just meant something even better would come along. Oh boy, he sure was right about that!

A week later little Scarlett popped up. She's a '95 Toyota Camry, and she had about 99k miles on her(that's insane!! Less than 5k miles a year, I've had her 3 weeks and I'm almost at 1k). She got fixed up with a bunch of new parts, and she rides like a dream. I keep telling everyone how comfortable she is, because my butt always hurts if I drive too long in Jared's car, but that's not the case with mine!
I love her so much, and the guy who sold it to me was so helpful! My Dad said "it'll keep going even after you don't want it anymore" or something like that, haha. I've been driving all over the place, just because I can, and there's still a bunch of places I need to stop by too!

There's.... Something in the Trees!

So Jared and I were out on the back patio with Bufford making s'mores the other night when we heard something rustling in the area behind the garage. I started to get scared thinking a rabid wild animal was going to charge at us and steal my delicious melty treats. Jared(or should I say the vessel Steve Irwin occasionally possesses), grappled up the fence like the assassin's creed guy and onto the garage roof in one swift movement and began flashing his cell phone light into the trees. Not one, two, or even three, but FOUR pairs of glowing eyeballs blinked back at us like something from Scooby-doo. At first we thought they were possums, but as I passed him my camera and he sort of began to attempt to focus on our subjects, we discovered they were raccoons! Now I know who digs in my garden, little rascals...
Pom poko!!

This makes it look like a flippin' lemur.

Check out those ears!

Luna Moon Moth

Jared had a bunch of work friends over a couple of weeks ago to play card games, and we noticed this little moth dancing in the window. It flew up into the light and we forgot about it until everyone went home and it followed us and the lights upstairs. At first I was scared of it because anything with more than 4 legs creeps me out, but it was so soft and fluffy and calm that I didn't stay scared. I named it Luna, and she rested on Jared's finger until he placed her next to his pillow on the nightstand and fell asleep haha.

Fashion for Plus Sized Babes plus Sales!!

**The links in this post are affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my link.

You probably all know by now how much I love ModCloth. This week, they're celebrating a very exciting milestone -- the one-year anniversary of officially launching plus-size clothing on their site! In just one year, they’ve expanded their product catalog with more items that fit all body types. Check out the full-range fashion page in their Style Gallery, which showcases community-uploaded photos featuring ModCloth items that are available in a full size range. Why? Because fashion should be for all! All bodies are beautiful, and I'm so glad to work with a company the agrees with that sentiment. Treat YO self this weekend, you deserve it! There are several sales going on to take advantage of, check out the banners below. I bought myself that watermelon bag I've been eyeballing... it got included in the 30% off sale!

What I Wore - $10 Dress!

Dress - H&M(last summer)
Belt - Forever 21(last summer)
Socks - Target
Shoes - Target

Last summer when I went to see The Postal Service with my Mom, I saw a girl walk by wearing this dress. A few weeks later on a shopping trip with Jared to Cinci, I found it in H&M and it was on sale for $10! They have such great deals from time to time, I love it. You probably know by now that pastels are my weakness, as well as patterns, so this dress is one I feel perfectly comfortable and myself in. Feminine and casual. It even has pockets!(As any dress wearer knows, the best perk a dress can have is pockets).

Watching the clouds roll by...

The weather was really crazy this week! Okay, not really, but it was cloudy and rainy and I feel like that should be pretty much done with. That's April's deal, it's June now! However, I can't complain because I got to take these neat pictures of the clouds rolling by. These winds move so fast, so thankfully the storms aren't lasting too long. I'm hoping it's full time sun for a while so I can go swimming.
