Ikea Haul

Joe and I went to Ikea and I wanted to get a whisk and can opener. Ended up getting neither of those haha, but I stayed pretty practical I guess. Their duvet cover set prices are insanely reasonable!! I got this plain one for $20, the thread count is only 144, but I love how it looks and for that price it can’t be beat! There was another adorable dandelion set I was wanting to get, but I didn’t want to blow all my money, so I might come back for it, so I can alternate between washes. Now I don’t have to worry about dry-cleaning my new comforter, yay! I also got a new cutting board, which I already used to prepare some delicious soup. I got this cute little fake sheep fur rug as well, which was also pretty cheap. Finally I got a full length mirror, so I can finally see my whole outfit to make sure I’m all put-together before I walk out the door. I forgot how much I love Ikea, I’m suddenly a lot more into interior decorating, and I can’t wait to make another trip!!

My Room

Haha, so I picked up a self help book of sorts, a funny sort of motivating kind, and one of the suggestions was to rearrange your whole room. I had the idea in the back of my mind anyways, then decided to go ahead and do it after reading it in the book as well. It was difficult and a little exhausting but I loved the outcome and was really proud of myself! Seems like every time I do something by and for myself I feel so awesome about it, so I keep trying to do it as often as I can. I’ve also gotten into the idea of redecorating my space as well. A lot of my bedding is so old and raggedy, so I’m saving up to buy some nice new stuff so I’ll take more pictures when I do that.

Halloween Decorating

As you probably know by now, Halloween is my favorite holiday. A few nights ago, I couldn't take it anymore, and I asked Jared to drag up the box of decorations so I could get into the spirit. Now I'm in full blown Halloween mode!

I told Jared to pretend to be a spider, hehe.

We got the inside set up as well.

Now all we need is some candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters and to work on our costumes! *Hums its the most wonderful time of the year*

Take a Peek at Our Home!

So, not having a car and it being the middle of winter has left me home alone with Bufford a lot. At first I went a little stir crazy, but then I decided to start decorating. I've been getting really into it lately, pulling inspiration from online, and I'm really proud of what I've put together so far. I still have lots of little plans, but here's a peek at some more finished looking rooms upstairs.

I just love the ice cream bank! I thrifted it with my Mom in the fall. Also my painting of Audrey Horne, which I will soon be making prints of so stay tuned.

I modge podged glitter onto the smaller frames yesterday. The records are from the thrift store and only cost around $.69
