I'm a Quarter of a Century!

It's my 25th birthday today!! I can't believe I'm this old. I had such a great day, and its kind of turned into a birthday week really. This past weekend Sophie and Lynne came down to visit and we went out to eat, then next weekend I'm hanging out with Jared and my parents. Today I came into work and turned on the light and the whole office was decorated with balloons and streamers! My boss Danielle is really the best, she even made me a cake and brought me a tiara. I really feel loved all around. Jared got me animal crossing and a nintendo 3ds xl for my birthday and gave it to me early and I played it on my break and even the little characters celebrated my birthday. I have a hundred million posts on facebook to get to so I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet and kinda jumbled and all over the place because yay birthday! and yay Sophie just showed up!  

Real quick- funny story about these awesome balloons, a customer returned them a few weeks ago and I got them for $1 each on sale. I took them to Kroger last night got them filled up and carried the huge obnoxious things around the store with me as we shopped. Got them all the way home and then the 5 got stuck on the trim overhang roof of the house, popped off the string, and floated away into the night. I was devastated!! Haha. Then I ran to party city after work today and found they had the same kind so I bought one, and all was well again, and Jared helped me take some outfit photos.

What I Wore - Recycled 90s Dress

This dress was way too long, but I saw potential in it. For some reason it reminded me of Courtney Love and I kinda fell in love with it. So I took it home and cut it up, fixed missing buttons, and wah-lah! It turned out to be as awesome as I had imagined. Love it! This outfit feels like the perfect combination of sweet yet sassy.

 Those shoes were such an awesome find! They're (I believe)vintage Doc Martens! Not to mention they were half off the sale price, so only $6. Love them.

 Such a cozy Sunday. By the way, isn't that weird elk at the top of the mantle awesome?! Jared found it thrifting last week and I love it, he's so creepy and neat. He's got weird cat eyes that bulge out, and soft leather ears.

Not sure how my bun got so lopsided, but oh well! I bought those shoes this summer and haven't really found anything to absolutely match them until now. They're a tiny bit too large too so I was trying to re-sell them, but now I just want to find some thick socks to wear with them!

Jared, Boof and I had a lot of fun playing in this so-called blizzard. It seemed like the snow was going to melt today, I was surprised I was sad at the thought of it leaving. I guess now that its finally winter, I want a full blown winter. Might as well have something fun to play in outside if its gonna be cold right?!

This dress is perfect! I love the colors(I feel I look best in brown, and the touch of color is perfect for spring), not to mention its adorably casual, which I am all about with dresses.

An Iphone

I know I'm probably just wanting to jump on the bandwagon, but they look so user friendly, fast and sleek. The camera is the main thing that is pulling me in. 8mp of power in my pocket, not to mention I know there are cute little lenses you can clip on. yeee!

Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera

Hmm! I'm not sure how I feel about this one, but I'm pretty sure I want it. I just think its part of the beauty of a polaroid, not knowing what it looks like until 30 seconds or so after you click the shutter. Then again, I have wasted a few shots, and this handy gadget would prevent that!

A Boston Terrier!

Yeah yeah, I know, Cady you don't need another dog... but I bet Boof would LOVE a playmate, not to mention I read the it eases separation anxiety to have another do around(which Boof is an anxiety fiend like his mother). And I could carrier her with me everywhere and ~siiiigh~. Someday soon I hope!

UGH! This is the besttttt. It's a holga lens....FOR YOU DSLR!! Amazing right?! The guy at the camera store told me about this one and showed me how it works! So awesome, because I have terrible luck sometimes with my film, and it can get expensive to develop... so problem solved! Awesome looking pictures for free...and well the price of the lens. Not to mention this is bundled with a fisheye lens attachment!
